Trac Intermodal Upgrades Website to Improve Experience for Truckers
Trac Intermodal has updated its web portal to rent chassis online, the company announced July 17.
The online upgrades will allow trucking companies to search for available equipment by chassis size and location, Trac said in a statement. It also has a reuse feature to extend a truckers’ equipment rental due date. The upgrades also will make the platform easier to use on smartphones and tablets.
DCLI Expands Premium Chassis Fleet to Near Canadian National's Chicago Intermodal Rail Yard
Direct ChassisLink Inc. has introduced its premium pool into the Chicago market, expanding the equipment footprint beyond Southern California.
The newest location is located near the Canadian National Railway’s intermodal terminal in Harvey, Ill.
The equipment includes radial tires and LED lights.
Direct ChassisLink Inc. Acquires Trac Intermodal’s Domestic Chassis Fleet
Direct ChassisLink Inc. has signed an agreement to make a major acquisition, purchasing the entire domestic chassis fleet from competitor Trac Intermodal.
The transaction, due to close in January, would not include Trac’s marine pool covering ports across the United States, but it does cover about 72,000 domestic 53-foot chassis that are growing in demand due to the rise in transloading.
